We drove 30 miles in peak morning Hangry to try this place for the first time today. Well worth it!! First of all, you know it's good when you roll up and the lot is full. But we got quickly seated and then launched into the broad menu. Love the Cute family diner feel, all decked out for Xmas Eve Day! We all settled on breakfast. Chilaquiles for hubby, Chili Verde and Eggs for me, Breakfast burrito for sis 1, French Toast platter for sis 2. Hubby eyeballs chilaquiles every time. Here was his take: DELICIOUS, crispy, flavorful. He's full and satisfied. The Bloody Mary helped everything go down smoothly!! Sis 1: she ate the whole dang thing, except for last three bites given to sis 2 when they swapped plates for cross tasting. Two "good" comments on the burrito. Thanks for also providing Cholula. Sis 2: sausage link was nice and plump. Solid French toast plate. Now for Mama.... The Chili Verde was magical, everything I dreamed it would be, and I would order again! Nice warm spice without being too spicy. And Mama Mia, the corn tortillas tasted homemade and they were thick so they didn't crumble when I attempted the bites. We'll be back again--there's a lot on this menu that's calling out to us!!

Decided to try this place to see if the name held up. My wife got the chile verde Omlette, I got a different one. Biscuit was moist but not warm enough to melt butter. Not a big deal. Coffee is, well, hot and plentiful. Is it the best? No but is VERY solvent d. Price is a pretty average nowadays. Will return when in the area.

The food, the service, and the staff were exceptional. The place is very busy for good reason. My coffee cup was never empty either.

Always good food and pleasant staff. Big portions. Whenever I do business in Oxnard I eat lunch at Best Breakfast.

Terrific spot for a homey feel and a wide variety of breakfast and lunch. Clearly a popular place with lots of people waiting in line. Even though it was crowded we had quick service. Hearty portions!

Perfect breakfast spot! I'm a big fan of all day breakfast and this place does it right. You can tell they care about the restaurant, their guests and the food. Diner vibe with a lively atmosphere.

First time trying this cafe and they live up to the name. I had an amazing breakfast. I was recommended to try the Chili Verde and Eggs. It comes with tortillas of your choice. It was very tasty and had the perfect amount of spice, but the portions of the meat were pretty skimpy. Overall I had a great experience and the service provided was excellent. The atmosphere was was a good vibe. I'll be looking forward to coming back again to try out the other items on the menu.

This place used to be uncle herbs which had one the busiest breakfast restaurants in Ventura county. Well now it's called the best breakfast cafe. A lot of the menu had Mexican flare type breakfast. Not sure who the owners are but they did a great job. My 85 yo father had huevos Al a mexicana and I had chilaquiles verdes. Mmmmm mmm it was heavenly we both finished our plates. Overall the place has not changed a few updates to the establishment. Service was quick and for being busy they have a beautifully orchestrated workflow. I only only would say that they should select better coffee because it was suboptimal. Now I am a coffee snob but maybe if they had Arabic coffee it would that much better. I definitely will come again. It was nostalgic and brought childhood memories of the place but with many great differences.

We got attended quick. The atmosphere was packed and full of life. The Chilaqueles were good with sourcream and avocado. We'll be back.

The Best Breakfast Cafe is still around! I guess it's been several years since I've been here... Find them on the corner of Saviers Rd & Pleasant Valley Rd in Oxnard. It was busy when we arrived on a Saturday morning. But we were able to get seated in a couple of minutes. They are open everyday for Breakfast & Lunch between 7am-2pm... Very casual, Family Friendly & Diner Feels... The parking lot can get full, but there's also street parking available. Plenty of options for Breakfast & Lunch. I'm usually here for Breakfast, but the Lunch menu is pretty inviting. I need to try Lunch sometime. Huge portions, which is what we like. The Mister's 1st time here & he devoured his Pancake Combo... I always crave Chilaquiles, but I felt like being somewhat healthy today. So I ordered a Veggie Omelette, lol. Had a generous amount of veggies inside w/ carrots, zucchini, broccoli & cheese. With Omelettes, you get a side choice of potatoes or fruit & toast or a biscuit. The potatoes are good, they were yummy! Of course I ordered an extra side of fruit too. I was happy with my meal & had leftovers :) Overall, It was Good! I was able to save half of my Veggie Omelette & potatoes for the next day. Bellies & Brains left Happy haha. Edith served us today! Thank you Edith & Best Breakfast staff for checking on us. Will definitely return :)
